American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) travel assignment at a cardiovascular-focused Heart Hospital, requiring NM or Compact RN license and cardiovascular experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located within a Heart Hospital setting
• 55-bed PCU unit with a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Cardiovascular patient population
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required on a rotating, as-needed basis
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or cardiovascular nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs must be logo-free; any color is accepted
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
