Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU/Float Pool RN for a night shift travel position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center requiring cardiac care expertise and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similarly sized facility.

Details

• Float pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors with a cardiac patient population
• Patient conditions include STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain (C/P), and cardiothoracic surgery (CTS) cases
• Administers cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors
• May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit at lower acuity levels
• Patient ratio of 1:3–4
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• 4 weekend shifts per month required

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact state license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or similar cardiac nursing experience in a comparable-sized facility
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital environment with complex and severe cases required
• Epic EMR experience required

• This is a Level 1 trauma center serving a diverse, high-acuity inner-city patient population
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Minimal time off (RTO) requests will be accommodated during the contract
