American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior trauma center experience at a large facility.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,567 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with an average patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• No on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Epic
• Parking is available for approximately $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted but must be active prior to start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior experience in a large trauma center setting required
• Clean nursing license with no priors
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require additional facility approval
• Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination with booster is required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
