American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active L&D experience, AHA-certified credentials, and a minimum 50-mile radius from the facility.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK state RN license or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
• Minimum of 1 year of L&D nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred (2 years)
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Proficiency in nursing theory, techniques, and procedures with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients with varying levels of complexity under general supervision
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, IV management, fetal monitoring, and coordination with physicians and support staff
• Interacts with patients and families regarding care plans, discharge instructions, and hospital procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a total of 26 weeks)
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
