American Traveler is hiring a travel RN - Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery OR position requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and a Level 1 trauma background, working a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Details

• Adult Surgery OR unit at an academic health system in Oklahoma City, OK
• Perioperative circulator role serving adult surgical patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment required
• Level 1 trauma facility experience (6+ months) required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
• CNOR certification preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for the direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care for patients in the OR, including individualized care based on health status, age, and procedure type
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered within the perioperative environment using the nursing process
• Addresses physical, psychological, and spiritual responses of surgical patients using clinical knowledge, judgment, and evidence-based reasoning
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks (one extension) before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
