American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR/PACU RN for a Level III Trauma OR position requiring an active MA RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level III Trauma facility in a complex community setting
• 13-week assignment for 36 or 40 hours per week on a Days/Evenings schedule with weekend rotation
• Shift options include 4x10s, 2x10s, or 2x8s, with most shifts falling between 8:00am and 12:30am
• Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric surgical patients
• Unit has a 15-bed count with a census of approximately 30-40 patients per day
• Maintains a 1:1 clinician to patient ratio
• Uses EPIC as the EMR/charting system
• No floating required
• Rotating shifts required, including 2-3 evening shifts and 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• On-call required, including 1 holiday call, 2-3 weekday calls, and 1-2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule
• Weekend shifts include an associated on-call period

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in one location plus 2 years of experience as a traveler
• Proficiency in basic aseptic technique and independent circulating required
• Multispecialty competence required
• Experience with Mako and Davinci systems required
• BSN and CNOR certification preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Perform circulating duties independently across multiple surgical specialties
• Provide perioperative nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric surgical patients
• Local candidates may be considered if residing within 60 miles of the facility, at a reduced pay rate
• Time off requests must be disclosed prior to consideration for the position
