Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Oncology for a 13-week outpatient clinic assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Outpatient oncology clinic setting within a cancer center
• Covers medical oncology and hematology oncology as part of a clinical coverage pool
• Works closely with the chemotherapy infusion room team but does not directly administer infusion therapies
• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• No weekends, no on-call, and no major holiday requirements
• Floating is not required
• Charge nurse duties are not required

Requirements

• Active CT RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Oncology nursing experience required
• Outpatient ambulatory and outpatient clinic experience required
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card preferred but not required
• Ability to lift and restrain patients as needed
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include phone triage, patient care problem-solving, and collaboration with the clinical team
• May be required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis as part of the unit staff rotation to ensure coverage
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
