American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a Cardiovascular OR position requiring a minimum of 18 months of CVOR experience and strong endovascular skills in a multi-campus hospital setting in Atlanta, GA.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital CVOR environment
• Candidates may be asked to float between up to 3 campuses; typically given 1 day of notice based on scheduled cases
• On-call responsibilities remain only at the originally booked location
• Weekend shifts are assigned on an alphabetical rotation and may fall on days or nights
• Call requirements include 4–6 late/call shifts per 6-week schedule block: 1–2 late shifts per week, 1 overnight call (11p–7a), and up to 24 hours of weekend call per 6-week block
• Strong ENT and neuro OR experience required in addition to cardiovascular
• No set or blocked schedules for call
• One major and two minor holidays required (day or night shift)

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand is required
• Minimum 18 months of full-time CVOR experience of similar acuity within the last 3 years
• Strong proficiency in cardiac and vascular procedures (self-rated 3s and 4s required)
• Strong endovascular experience required
• Strong ENT and neuro OR experience required
• Current BLS certification required

Additional Information

• RNs may be asked to perform Charge RN duties on off-shifts, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Former permanent Emory or Houston Health System staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if the requested time does not fall on or near a holiday
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 3 days if the requested time falls on or near a holiday
• Only 1 holiday RTO request is allowed per contract; consecutive days of RTO during the holiday period will not be approved and must be spread out
