Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring an MD or Compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, and PALS, with on-call and every-other-weekend requirements.

Details

• Hospital PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Day shift position with variable shift lengths of 8 or 10 hours; shift start times range between 07:00–17:30 within PACU operating hours of 07:30–20:30
• Every other weekend required, inclusive of scheduled call
• On-call is required; call shifts currently fall on Fridays (19:00–07:00), Saturdays (07:00–07:00), and Sundays (07:00–07:30), plus 07:00–19:00 on holidays, averaging approximately three call shifts per four-week period
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled, including on-call during holidays
• Floating required within the specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within scope of practice
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• PACU nursing experience required
