American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring a valid AL or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience in the specialty.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Acute care float pool setting within a hospital system, with floating required to other units and hospitals
• Med/Surg Telemetry patient population
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Early start shifts available once compliant
• EMR: Meditech (experience not required)

Requirements

• Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No prior or current hits on nursing license allowed
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of overall Med/Surg Telemetry experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty; candidates with 18 months of experience working under their highest professional license and 1 year of recent specialty experience will be considered
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
• NURSYS license verification required
• Current driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

• 13-week contract
• Virtual orientation provided, including competency-based modules — no pre-start HealthStream modules required
• A Cardiac Exam will be administered following offer acceptance
