American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Cardiac Telemetry position at a Level I trauma center, requiring at least 1 year of experience and the ability to float between cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments.

Details

• 28-bed cardiac telemetry units providing care for all cardiac needs, including post-op care
• Level I trauma center serving a patient population of all ages
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6
• Unit is supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring
• Required to float between cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments
• Night shift: 18:30–07:00
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period required
• Holiday shifts required based on departmental need
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry nursing experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Implements and monitors patient care plans, and communicates patient condition as appropriate
• Coordinates care across disciplines and assists with discharge planning
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment are essential
• Follows standard precautions and utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment
• COVID vaccination is not required
