American Traveler is hiring a Float Cardiac Telemetry RN with 2+ years of experience for a Level I trauma center supporting cardiac telemetry and med-surg units.

Details

• 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac needs including post-op care
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Unit supported by PCTs, healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs
• Level I trauma center serving patients of all ages
• Float required to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments
• Shift schedule 06:30-19:00
• Up to 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage required if departmental need arises
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Implements and monitors patient care plans, and communicates patient condition to the care team
• Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carries out physician and nursing orders
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires strong critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Follows Standard Precautions and uses personal protective equipment as required
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that affects pay rate
