Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Family Birthplace) position at a hospital-based LDRP unit with a Level II Special Care Nursery, requiring a MD or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery (Family Birthplace) unit within a hospital setting
• LDRP unit featuring 14 LDRP rooms, 9 overflow beds, 2 triage beds, 2 antenatal testing bays, 2 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 9-bed Special Care Nursery (Level II NICU)
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum diagnoses including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, as well as triage, induction, antenatal testing, and C-section cases
• Patient ratios vary by care stage: Triage 1:4, Early Labor/Induction 1:2, Active Labor 1:1, C-Section 1:1, Postpartum 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating may be required within the specialty and to sister units
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland (MD state license) or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS, STABLE, FHM, and AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced) certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
