American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel contract in Kenosha, WI, at a Level IV Trauma Center requiring TNCC/TNS and a critical care skill set.

Details

• Emergency Department at a Level IV Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Accredited Chest Pain Center with an active FNE program
• 74-bed facility with a 21-bed ED plus a 6-bed annex
• Treats patients of all ages
• RN-to-patient ratio is 1:4 on both days and nights
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• One weekend rotation required per month
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• IV Pumps: Alaris | Med Dispensing: Pyxis | Monitors: GE
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC or TNS, and CPI or MOAB
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• Critical care level skill set required
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, collected within the last year
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible

Additional Information

• Charge nurse on unit carries a reduced patient assignment for added support
• Hospitalist, ED MD, and HUC are in-house 24/7
• Phlebotomy available to assist with peripheral blood draws
• Nursing station telemetry monitoring available (no tele tech)
• Orientation consists of at least 1 shift to learn unit flow
• Up to 7 days of time off may be approved during the contract
• Scrubs must be a solid color with no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking is available on-site
