Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a rural Critical Access Hospital in Colorado, requiring a CO or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting
• 13-week contract
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Current BLS certification required (may be obtained upon hire)
• Current PALS certification required
• Must be physically able to safely function at high altitude (approximately 8,000 ft elevation, low-oxygen environment)

Additional Information

• Serves as the primary nurse within an interdisciplinary team providing care in the PCU
• No RTO (time off) will be accepted for this assignment
• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing; the local area (Aspen, CO) is known for very high housing costs, and more affordable options may be found in nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs
