American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ER Holding (Border) position requiring night shifts, ACLS and CPI certifications, and experience in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency setting.

Details

• Hospital-based ER Holding (Border) unit with a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Cares for a wide variety of complex ED admission diagnoses in a border role spanning ER, MS/Telemetry, and IMC patient populations
• Average daily census ranges from a minimum of 10 to up to 40 border patients across 46 rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:30–08:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as shifts fall on the schedule
• Floating required between ED borders and extenders to MS/Telemetry and IMC units within specialty and scope
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland (MD state license) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in an emergency department, MS/Telemetry, or IMC setting appropriate to scope of practice

• This is a border role providing care to patients awaiting inpatient admission, requiring adaptability across ER, MS/Telemetry, and IMC patient populations
• Royal blue scrubs required
