American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 4th floor step-down unit, requiring ACLS certification and experience with telemetry and critical drips.

Details

• 26-bed all-private-room step-down unit operating as a bridge between the ICU and general medical floors
• All patients are on continuous telemetry monitoring with heart monitors
• Patient population includes GI bleed, COVID, respiratory distress, and other acuity cases requiring critical drips
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Ability to manage telemetry monitoring and critical drips
• Proficiency with computer systems and clinical applications, or ability to be trained

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Delegates and oversees patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• Must provide date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
• Copies of licenses and certifications required for consideration
