American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Float Ambulatory Clinic position at an outpatient clinic specializing in cardiology and pulmonology, with floating requirements and day shift scheduling.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting specializing in cardiology and pulmonology, with floating to other clinic areas as needed
• Typical patient volume of 15–18 patients per day, including cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts running 8:00am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Works alongside medical assistants and CNAs
• Charting in Cerner (transitioning to Epic)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required by start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Familiarity with cardiac and pulmonary medications required
• Triage experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years of relevant experience

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include patient triage, placing orders, calling patients back, reviewing results for providers, and preparing charts
• Two-week orientation provided
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months and require facility approval before being considered
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and will be offered a adjusted travel pay rate
