American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2 years of experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Behavioral Health unit focused on Transitional Age Youth population
• Short-term acute care Level I Trauma Center with 1,500+ staffed beds
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Patient ratios: 1:7 on days, 1:13 on nights
• Floating required within scope to other Behavioral Health units
• Every other weekend required
• Charting via Epic
• Parking available at $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start date
• Current BLS and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
• Travelers are expected to participate in emergency response activities including natural disasters
