American Traveler is hiring a Chemo-Certified RN for a Medical/Surgical Oncology position at a Level II Trauma Center within a large academic health system, requiring Epic proficiency and ONS/ONCC certification.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of a large academic health system
• Assignment is 12 weeks in length
• Chemo/Oncology unit with floating to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active RN license — Connecticut (CT) or Compact license required
• Current BLS, NIHSS, and Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Chemotherapy administration experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must not have any priors on their nursing license
• Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required (religious/medical exemptions considered)
• At least 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation begins virtually on Friday before the first onsite day (Monday)
• Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
• Royal blue scrubs required
