American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU/ICU) position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.

Details

• Work in a 26-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) within a large acute care hospital setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia therapy
• Procedures include heart catheterizations, cardioversion, central line management, and medication drips
• EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred
• Night shift schedule: 7P–7A
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Prior Meditech experience is preferred
• Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Unit staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
