American Traveler is seeking a Psych Float Pool RN with adolescent experience for a 13-week travel contract in Maine, requiring an active ME or compact RN license and relevant psychiatric nursing background.

Details

• Psychiatric float pool position within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes children and adolescents
• Day shift schedule working 3x12-hour shifts
• Schedule flexibility required to adjust days based on census demands

Requirements

• Active Maine RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 1-3 years of nursing experience working with children and adolescents
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification required prior to completion of orientation
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training required prior to completion of orientation
• No actions on license or adverse background history
• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit
• Delegates appropriate interventions, supervises as needed, and maintains a safe care environment
• Provides education and health management support to patients and families in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
• Prior St. Mary's employees are not eligible for this position
