Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pre/Post Op (PACU) travel assignment at an acute care facility in Rice Lake, WI, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, Pre/Post Op (PACU) unit
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts with start times ranging from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM; shift end time may extend until the last patient is discharged
• Unit is closed every other Monday
• 13-week contract
• Charting is done in Cerner (facility is transitioning to Epic)

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required by start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (all must be active)
• PACU or Pre/Post Op experience required
• 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years of relevant experience

Additional Information

• Provide pre- and post-anesthesia nursing care, monitoring patients through recovery until discharge
• The facility is currently using Cerner and transitioning to Epic
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months, and hospital approval is required prior to placement
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate structure
