American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ED Hold position requiring CA licensure, 2 years of ED experience, and a willingness to float to Med/Surg Telemetry when not utilized in ED Holding.

Details

• ED Hold unit position within a hospital setting
• Floats to Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) when not actively utilized in ED Holding
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00–19:30
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to MS/Tele as assigned
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs clinical procedures including IV placement, Foley catheter insertion, and wound dressings
• Responsible for accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments
• Provides patient and family education and serves as a patient advocate
• Monitors and responds to changes in patient condition, including telemetry, IV, and ventilator management
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
