American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Center position requiring 5+ years of experience, at least one prior travel assignment, and mandatory MEDITECH and TNCC experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital Emergency Center (ER) setting
• Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, neuro, ortho, CVA, and behavioral health cases
• Facility sees approximately 180–200 patient visits per day and is a designated CVA center
• 6-bed behavioral health lockdown area staffed by psychiatry
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 12-hour evening shifts, 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• EMR: MEDITECH 6.15 — experience required
• Supported by nurse aides and paramedics (5–6 per shift), security, patient sitters, central monitoring techs, 24/7 respiratory therapists dedicated to the ER, and in-department pharmacy coverage
• Nurses are responsible for their own lab draws and IV starts
• Ventilated patients are held in the ER until admitted, with 24/7 RT support

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or compact license required
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (or ASLS), and CPI
• MEDITECH EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Orientation consists of 2 shifts and must be completed during the first week of the assignment
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• RTO requests are honored only if submitted prior to the start of the assignment
