American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Maryland, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and rotating day/mid shifts with every-other-weekend availability.

Details

• Work setting is a fast-paced hospital Emergency Department serving patients across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
• Patient diagnoses vary widely, inclusive of all body systems and complex presentations
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, with the possibility of up to 1:5 for lower acuity patients
• Shift options are 3x12 or 4x12 hours, rotating between day and mid shifts (07:00–19:30 / 11:00–23:30), with primary need currently on day shift
• Every other weekend is required
• Holiday coverage is required as shifts fall per the schedule
• Floating may be required within the ED specialty and to sister facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, and Queenstown)
• Pre-scheduled on-call shifts are not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• CPI certification required (may be completed during onboarding)
