American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatrics position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of pediatric experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 325 staffed beds
• Pediatric unit is co-located within the Post Partum Unit
• Patient population includes asthma, bronchiolitis, upper respiratory infections, suicidal ideation and other psychiatric concerns, post-surgical cases (appendectomy, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, etc.), failure to thrive, jaundice, and non-accidental trauma
• Floating required to Post Partum (vaginal and C-section) and Special Care Nursery
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel contract
• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — minimal RTO is strongly preferred
• Block scheduling is not available at this time
• Pending WA RN license will be considered, though quick starts are preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
