Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a short-term acute care hospital in Washington, requiring Epic proficiency and PALS certification.

Details

• Pediatric unit within a short-term acute care hospital (325 staffed beds)
• Pediatric patient population includes asthma, bronchiolitis, upper respiratory infections, suicidal ideation and other psychiatric issues, post-surgical (appendectomy, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, etc.), failure to thrive, jaundice, and non-accidental trauma
• Floating required to Post Partum (vaginal and C-section) and Special Care Nursery
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licensure considered for quick-start candidates)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates who previously worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem/registry must disclose the location(s) and dates worked
• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
