American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Newborn Nursery (Infant Special Care) position requiring at least 1 year of Level 2 Nursery experience, an active SC or compact RN license, and NRP certification.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Newborn Nursery (NSG Nursery) unit
• Level 2 Nursery patient population
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating to sister hospital facilities may be required
• Charting is performed in Cerner

Requirements

• Active RN license in South Carolina or a current compact/multi-state RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing required
• BSN preferred (highly desired)
• Minimum 1 year of Level 2 Nursery experience required
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
• NRP certification required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for newborn patients in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using professional nursing theory and practice
• Regular interaction with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members
• Role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving patients; intermittent lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and other conditions common to a healthcare environment
• Travelers who have been on assignment for one full calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment at this facility
