American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN/LVN with 3+ years of experience and Epic Ambulatory proficiency for an outpatient primary care clinic setting covering locations across the Aiken, SC to Thomson, GA corridor.

• Outpatient primary care clinic setting, with potential coverage across multiple clinic locations between Aiken, SC and Thomson, GA
• Patient population includes adults through geriatrics
• Scheduled for day shifts, 4x9-hour shifts (8:00–17:30)
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• Floating required within scope of practice across primary care offices as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Epic Ambulatory EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active LPN/LVN license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 3 years of LPN/LVN experience required
• Outpatient clinic or urgent care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic Ambulatory charting experience required
• Reliable personal transportation required
• Proficiency in medication administration including oral, IM, SQ, subcutaneous, inhaled, ear drops, and eye drops
• Skills in vaccine administration, vital sign monitoring, specimen labeling, medication reconciliation, telephone triage, and patient health history/allergy documentation

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include follow-up phone calls, pharmacy and patient refill requests, interpretation of laboratory results, and patient health questionnaire and history documentation
• Pap smear experience is preferred; women's health experience is a plus
• Black scrubs required
• All RTO must be finalized prior to offer — no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or after starting on-site
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of assignment
• Holiday coverage is expected: if 1–2 major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• Candidates who previously worked at this health system as permanent, per diem, or flex staff must have been away from all system facilities for a full year before being considered as a traveler
• Travelers who were unable to complete a prior assignment at one system facility must complete one successful assignment outside the health system before applying to any of its locations
• Local candidates are accepted
• Candidates will undergo a clinical screening review prior to manager consideration
