Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room assignment requiring at least 3 years of experience and the ability to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Staffing ratio of 1:2
• On-call requirement of 5 call shifts per month; days and hours vary
• No holiday coverage required
• Floating to main OR may be required when cardiac volume is low, approximately once per week on average, with potential for more; services may include General, Urology, ENT, and others
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR or cardiac surgery nursing experience
• Must be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating cardiac surgery cases
• Required cardiac surgery experience: CABGs, aortic/mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, aortic dissections, and LVADs
• Vascular/thoracic surgery experience preferred (EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, open AAA)
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copies of current certifications required for consideration

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have the required clinical experience
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be accepted at a different pay rate
