American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Medical unit position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and current AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications.

Details

• Pediatric Medical unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills required
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, assisting physicians, documenting patient responses, and coordinating discharge education with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may reapply after a 6-month separation period following a maximum 26-week total engagement
• Compliance requirements — including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements — must be completed promptly after accepting an offer; the facility does not allow delayed start dates due to non-compliance
