American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of experience, prior travel experience, and night shift availability.

Details

• Hospital telemetry unit (4E/SSU) setting
• Fast-paced unit with high patient turnover focused on evaluation and admission determination
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every 3rd weekend coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• At least 1 prior completed travel assignment required

Additional Information

• Involves constant interdisciplinary communication between Nursing, Providers, Utilization Review, and Case Management to assess patient needs and coordinate discharge planning
• Patients are evaluated to determine the need for hospital admission
• Navy blue and/or white scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at time of consideration
