American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract at a hospital in Florida, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience including pediatrics, with on-call availability and prior travel experience highly preferred.

Details

• Work in a hospital Operating Room serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week
• On-call is required, averaging approximately 4 calls per month with a variety of call types: End-of-Shift (EOS) 7 PM–11 PM, overnight 7 PM–7 AM, or Backup Call (BUC) 3 PM–7 AM
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• Travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses (all within approximately 15–20 minutes of each other)
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or Compact RN license required; DL address must match the address on the Board of Nursing (BON) on file
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of degree accreditation
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full DOB, SSN, and RN license number required for consideration
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Nurses begin orientation on a Friday; remote orientation is completed prior to an in-person visit to the facility for badge and ID — candidates must be available and in the area on that Friday
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of application, as it will not be approved after an offer is made
• The facility values adaptability and a team-player attitude; travelers are expected to function as core staff
• First-time travelers are not explicitly welcomed — prior travel experience is highly preferred
