American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a fast-paced Operating Room position requiring pediatric experience, on-call availability, and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, three shifts per week
• On-call is required and averages approximately 4 calls per month; call types include end-of-shift (EOS) 7 PM–11 PM, overnight 7 PM–7 AM, and backup call (BUC) 3 PM–7 AM
• No block scheduling is permitted
• EMR: Epic
• Travelers are first to float and may be required to float to sister campuses, all located within 15–20 minutes of each other

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required; DL address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Pediatric (PEDS) OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Degree from an accredited nursing program required, or minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of accredited degree
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; candidates must not own or be associated with any property within the 50-mile radius
• Full DOB, SSN, and RN license number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates are expected to function independently at the level of core staff
• Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must complete remote orientation and be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of application, as it will not be approved after an offer is made
• Copy of certifications and accreditation verification for nursing school must be provided for consideration
• Holiday coverage expectations should be discussed with the manager during the interview
• On-call specifics and scheduling details will be reviewed during the manager interview
• First-time travelers are not explicitly welcomed; prior travel experience is highly preferred
