American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a 13-week endocrinology clinic assignment in South Dakota, requiring ambulatory clinic experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Outpatient endocrinology clinic setting
• Patient population includes Type 1 and Type 2 diabetic patients as well as thyroid patients
• Clinic responsibilities include rooming patients, patient education, Epic Ambulatory InBasket work, and downloading of insulin pumps and glucometers
• Epic Ambulatory experience is required for charting
• Scheduled for 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• May float occasionally to other areas within the clinic
• No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
• Supported by a multidisciplinary team including MAs, CAs, RNs, MDs, APPs, phlebotomy, and radiology

Requirements

• Current LPN license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Completion of a board-approved nursing education program
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory clinic experience required
• Epic Ambulatory experience required
• Endocrinology clinic experience highly preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered only if they have prior ambulatory clinic experience
• Former permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• LPNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Orientation length is dependent on specialty
• RTO requests are subject to supervisor approval
