American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Perioperative Circulator role in an Adult Surgery OR setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and Level 1 trauma experience.

Details

• Adult Surgery operating room unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes adult surgical patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment required
• At least 6 months of Level 1 trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• CNOR certification preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsible for the direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care for patients in the operating room
• Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and the specific surgery or procedure being performed
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered within the perioperative environment
• Plans and implements nursing care to address physical, psychological, and spiritual patient responses during operative or invasive procedures
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
• Workers who have previously contracted at this facility may extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before becoming eligible for an additional contract
