American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of dedicated CVPICU experience.

Details

• Work setting is a pediatric CVICU within a Magnet-designated, academic teaching, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with 323 inpatient beds
• Patient population is pediatric cardiovascular, with potential floating to other critical care units (NICU/PICU) as needed
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Shifts are 3x12 hours, rotating between days (7:00–19:00) and nights (19:00–7:00), rotating every 3–4 weeks
• Self-scheduling is used for this position
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements
• Offsite parking available at approximately $35/month for rotating day/night shift staff
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; pending license accepted provided a screenshot and application submission date are provided, and the license must be issued prior to start date
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, dedicated standalone CVPICU experience required — floating experience does not qualify
• Cardiac training is required
• Must be able to rotate shifts every 3–4 weeks
• Must be able to float to other critical care units (NICU/PICU) within scope as needed

• Scrubs must be any solid color, logo-free, and child-friendly
