American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience, with rotating night/evening shifts and an MD or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• Treats all age ranges, from infant to geriatric, with a wide variety of complex, multi-system diagnoses in a fast-paced environment
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
• Rotating night and evening shifts; 3x12 (19:00–07:30) or 4x12 (15:00–03:30) schedules accepted; primary need is nights
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating within the ED specialty and to sister facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, Queenstown) as needed
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required (can be completed during onboarding)
• Minimum 2 years of ED/ER nursing experience required
