Description

American Traveler is hiring a LPN/LVN for a 13-week night shift contract in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and PCC (PointClickCare) familiarity.

Details

• Long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting with 66 beds
• Patient population includes those with CHF, dementia, DM, CKD, COPD, dysphagia (PEG tube), urinary retention (Foley catheters), and wounds
• Patient ratio of approximately 22–25:1 (currently experiencing low census)
• EMR: PointClickCare (PCC)
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call or callback available

Requirements

• Current LPN/LVN license required if applicable — must be active and not pending
• Minimum 2 years of LPN/LVN experience required; no exceptions
• LTC/SNF experience required
• Current BLS certification required (copies of active certifications required; pending certifications not accepted)
• Drivers license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a local pay rate

• Orientation consists of following another nurse for one shift
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate; the 80-mile radius rule applies
