American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool (3rd Floor Overflow) position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and AHA-issued BLS certification.

Details

• Hospital-based position on a 3rd Floor Overflow/Med-Surg unit
• Patient population includes a variety of medical-surgical and step-down cases ranging from simple to complex conditions
• Float requirement to any area of the hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuers accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and step-down experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Full date of birth and full Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, assisting physicians, and coordinating patient and family education
• Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be pushed for non-compliant travelers
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return only after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) of total tenure
