American Traveler is seeking an experienced OB RN for a Labor, Delivery & Postpartum night shift position requiring a Maine or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.

• OB unit setting within a community hospital environment
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
• Night shift schedule
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Maine (ME) or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Computer proficiency required
• COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate

Additional Information

• Provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for OB patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology settings
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under charge nurse supervision
• Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and interdisciplinary staff
• Must successfully complete general nursing and unit-specific orientation upon arrival
• This is a rapid response/crisis priority position
