American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a compact or ME license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit setting
• Med/Surg and telemetry patient population; specific diagnoses discussed during interview
• Patient ratios discussed during interview
• EMR: Cerner (required)
• Pyxis medication dispensing system in use
• Floating requirements discussed during interview

Requirements

• Active RN license — compact or ME license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Full SSN required
• Two professional references within the past year required, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge Nurse acceptable; peer references not accepted)
• Copies of all current certifications required
• Valid Driver's License required (submitted as a separate file)
• Flu vaccination required for employment eligibility
• Must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility
• No prior permanent employment at any Northern Light Health Hospital

Additional Information

• Orientation period is 1–2 shifts
• Manager interviews are conducted prior to placement
• RTO requires manager approval and should be submitted upfront
• Flu vaccination is required; medical exemptions only are accepted and subject to client review (minimum 2-week review period)
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Free parking is available on-site
• Whether first-time travelers are accepted is determined on a case-by-case basis through interview
• Candidates living 100+ miles north of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis with individual approval from facility nursing leadership
