Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a minimum of one year of recent acute care ICU experience and a compact or CO RN license.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed ICU/CCU unit within a hospital setting
• Staffing includes 1 CNC/Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT per shift for census over 14
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients
• Uses cardiac monitoring, ventilators, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care ICU hospital experience required
• Experience with medical ICU and neuro patient population preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Experience with intubations and central line placement procedures
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services in a collaborative, team-oriented ICU environment
• Unit offers 24/7 physician coverage including intensivist, neuro-intensivist, and trauma surgeon support
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; no local candidates accepted
