American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-bed acute rehabilitation unit within a regional health center
• Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including neuro, trauma, burn, gait training/strengthening, and wound vac
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 6 patients
• Uses lift equipment and Meditech EHR
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to Med/Surg as needed
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 2 years of overall RN experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Meditech experience is a plus
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

• Travel experience preferred but not required; Med/Surg and LTAC backgrounds will be considered
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required as part of onboarding
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be from within the last 12 months
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse) required; no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
