American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy Lab position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and strong IV skills for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based GI/Endoscopy Lab setting
• Mixed patient population of approximately 75% outpatient and 25% inpatient, with roughly 25 patients per day
• Supports Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) sessions 3 times per week in addition to standard GI/Endoscopy procedures
• Involves pre-op, intra-op (primarily timeout and documentation), and post-op care
• EMR: Epic (Endoscopy Navigator) and Provation
• 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• On-call required: 3 times per month on a 24-hour basis (7 AM–7 PM), and 2–3 times per week starting at 5 PM through the following day at 6:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage is fulfilled through on-call rotation; call on weekends is 10-hour shifts (Saturday and Sunday), with only 2 hours required Monday–Friday on a self-schedule basis
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (must be AHA-issued) and ACLS
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy nursing experience required
• Strong IV skills required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• One week of floor orientation provided
• Scrub requirement: navy blue pants with solid navy blue or solid white tops; jackets must be solid navy blue or solid white (maroon scrubs will also be used on unit)
