Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hematology/Oncology/Infusion Clinic position in Boston, MA, requiring active BLS and Bio/Chemo Certification with a minimum of 2 years of hemo/onc/infusion experience.

Details

• Outpatient hematology/oncology clinic with an infusion suite setting
• Clinic features 35 bays and beds with an average patient ratio of 1:6
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts per week (40 hrs/week), no weekends, no major holidays

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and Biotherapy/Chemotherapy (Bio/Chemo) Certification — both must be active
• Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology/infusion, including triage and phlebotomy
• Experience with IV and port placement required
• Experience with administration of chemotherapy agents required
• 2 professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), with one reference dated within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years — references cannot be from another traveler
• Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) — the test may only be taken twice

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, patients, and families
• Organizational skills and ability to effectively delegate patient care activities are essential
