Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a night shift inpatient hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant unit, with ONS certification and Epic EMR experience required.

Details

• Inpatient oncology unit with 28 adult acute care hematology/oncology beds and a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit (SCTU)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Floating required per facility float policy
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license (pending license will be accepted)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required — candidates may be considered with cert pending, provided it is completed before the start date
• Oncology nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides acute care nursing to adult hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant patients
• Depending on experience, the manager may require completion of ONS Fundamentals in addition to the Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
