Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital-based rehabilitation unit in Northport, AL, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital-based Rehabilitation Pavilion
• Patient population includes stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary patients working toward improved functional ability and independence
• All patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring; providers round daily
• Therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, a Dynavision machine, and a simulation vehicle
• EMR: Meditech (experience not required)
• Midnight shift: 12:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system

Requirements

• Active AL state RN license or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No hits (past or current) on nursing license allowed
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required at minimum
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent inpatient rehab experience; candidates with 18 months of total experience working under the highest level of professional license may be considered
• NURSYS license verification required for consideration
• Current driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary rehab team alongside physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
• Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules; no pre-start HealthStream modules required
• Timekeeping system: Centricity
• Solid navy scrubs required
• Parking is available on site
