American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Pediatric Home Health position requiring Ohio licensure and experience with technology-dependent, medically complex pediatric patients.

Details

• Dedicated pediatric home health position — work takes place entirely in patients' homes, not at a facility
• Caseload consists primarily of pediatric patients on tracheostomies and ventilators at home
• Each shift is spent entirely with a single patient in their home
• Travel to patient homes is required, with locations up to 1 hour from the base facility
• Night shift position with a flexible schedule of either 2x12-hour shifts and 2x8-hour shifts, or 5x8-hour shifts per week
• 12-hour shift options: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 8-hour shift options: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM or 10:00 AM–6:00 AM

Requirements

• Active Ohio LPN license or compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 6 months of experience in home care, geriatric care, med/surg, CCU, pediatrics, obstetrics, or a Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) setting
• Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organization
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides one-on-one care to medically complex pediatric patients in their home environment
• Experience working with pediatric patients or individuals with developmental delays is preferred
• Experience managing technology-dependent and/or medically complex patients is preferred
• 12-week contract
